About Us Jim Robinson is the owner and operator of Shoreline Charters. Jim holds a US Coast Guard Master Captain's License and has been operating scenic cruises, private charters, and scuba charters to shipwrecks for the last 16 years. Jim and the "The Shoreline" charters have visited almost every port in northern Lake Michigan on both the Wisconsin side and the Michigan side, and several ports in Lake Huron. Jim knows the waters around the Door Peninsula very well and has completed many crossings of Lake Michigan over the years. The many years of running dive charters and looking for wrecks in the remote waters north of the Door Peninsula in Upper Michigan have given Jim the knowledge of these remote areas for the Out Island Cruises and private charters to the Islands and Lighthouses in that area. During the off season Jim works on the many projects needed to keep the boat in top shape and ready for the next season. Jim is a licensed scuba instructor (PADI # 946) and enjoys diving Great Lakes shipwrecks and cave diving in the back country of north Florida. In between boat projects during the winter Jim teaches a DNR Snowmobile Safety Course and tries to get away on a couple of cross country snowmobile trips across Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and other areas in the upper Midwest.
